Our Approach to Care Unlike traditional rescues, our primary focus is on animals that cannot be adopted out. Our residents include wild horses that do not tolerate unfamiliar human contact, as well as wolf dogs and feral cats that require specialized environments. This is their home and like most of us, they do not like unexpected guests. Thus, Wind and Wild Horses, Inc., is not open to the public.
Habitat and Daily Life We replicate natural habitats to give our animals the space and peace they need. We provide daily feeding, essential veterinary care, and property maintenance with minimal human interference, ensuring a trust-based, stress-free life for every animal in our care.

Equine Refuge & Pasture Stewardship:
We maintain expansive, secure pasture acreage featuring natural ponds and native shade for wild horses. Our daily operations include systematic herd monitoring, pasture maintenance, and providing essential daily forage, hay, and targeted nutritional supplements.
Wolfdog Habitat & Natural Enrichment:
Our sanctuary provides secure, low-stress enclosures designed for wolfdog instincts—allowing natural denning and pack behaviors. Daily care includes tailored, high-protein feeding schedules and routine non-invasive welfare checks.
Permanent Feral Cat Care:
We provide dedicated, secure shelter grounds and daily sustenance for unadoptable feral cats, ensuring they live safely without the threat of displacement.
